3D Secure (3DS) is a technical standard created by Visa and Mastercard to further secure CNP (Cardholder not Present) transactions over the Internet. It adds an extra layer of protection to online shopping. With 3DS enabled, you have 2-step authentication on every online purchase—so no payments will ever go through unless you authorize them yourself.
ABSA
For ABSA cardholders, you no longer need to register or activate 3D Secure. Just proceed to checkout and follow the prompts. A One Time Pin (OTP) will be sent to you via SMS or email. If you encounter issues please contact your bank.
Capitec
For Capitec cardholder, please follow the full instructions provided at https://www.capitecbank.co.za/global-one/transact/online-shopping/ If you encounter issues please contact your bank.
FNB

Investec
For Investec cardholder, please use your credit card pin when prompted to submit the One Time Pin (OTP). If you encounter issues please contact your bank.
Nedbank
For Nedbank cardholder, please ensure you have your mobile phone with you before proceeding as you will be prompted for the OTP (one-time-pin) you are sent. Your Nedbank card is automatically registered for 3D Secure, If you encounter issues please contact your bank.
Standard Bank
For Standard Bank cardholders, you no longer need to register or activate 3D Secure. Just proceed to checkout and follow the prompts. A One Time Pin (OTP) will be sent to you via SMS or email. If you encounter issues please contact your bank.
Visa card holders
Should you have a Visa credit card but do not bank with one of the banks in the list above please visit the Verified by Visa site at https://www.visa.com.ng/pay-with-visa/security-and-assistance/verified-by-visa.html. Once there follow the prompts to activate your card. If you encounter issues please contact your bank.
Mastercard card holders
Should you have a Mastercard credit card but do not bank with one of the banks in the list above please visit the SecureCode site at https://www.mastercard.us/en-us/consumers/payment-technologies/securecode.html. Once there follow the prompts to activate your card. If you encounter issues please contact your bank.
